Superfood/mood Smoothie


I made this Smoothie by accident, as you do, and it's now my absolute favourite!

The KIDS love it too which is a massive bonus as its choc full of nutrients. Creating a smoothie like this for breakfast is a smart move, nourishing your body so it gets all the feul it needs for the day ahead. I also love to whip one up for afternoon tea as the kids are always "starving" when we get home. They now ask for their chocolate smoothie as it tastes FAB and hits the spot. The bonus for me as a mum is it quietens them down giving me ample time to prepare a substantial dinner without the anxiety of screaming kids at my feet ;)

Organic Ingredients;

2 cups coconut water

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup fresh spinach leaves

2 tsp unflavoured pea protein powder

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp cacao powder

Nutrient Profile;

This Smoothie is high in protein, carbs, fibre, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, folic acid, manganese, Vitamin A, C, K, omega 3 and 6.

Method;

Pour coconut water in blender first so the powders don't stick to the bottom making it easier to clean later ;)

Then add all other ingredients and blend to combine

Pour and serve with berries on top or as is.

Serves 2 kids or 1 adult.
